Residential Program Unit

The Residential Program Unit (RPU) is responsible for the licensing of those private children’s residential care and child placing agencies which are required by law and are in compliance with the CD rules and standards for licensure. Unless specifically exempted by law, private agencies providing residential care, foster home and/or adoption services must be licensed by CD.

RPU also provides technical assistance and coordination to CD Regional and Circuit Court office staff in the utilization of private residential, foster home, and adoption services for children and youth in Missouri.
