FFY 2012 State Plan Amendment

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assists low-income households, particularly those with the lowest incomes that pay a high proportion of household income for home energy, in meeting their immediate home energy needs. The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Act of 1981, as amended, was included as part of the Coats Human Services Reauthorization Act of 1998, P. L. 105-285.

A public hearing for the FFY 2012 Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) State Plan Amendment was held August 12, 2011, at the Governor’s Office Building Room 450, Jefferson City, Missouri, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The final version of the FFY 2012 LIHEAP State Plan has been approved by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
