MEMORANDUM FOR DISTRICT SUPERVISORS

From:  Sally Howard, Deputy Director

Subject:  Backdated Authorizations

There seems to be some confusion regarding this term and when a district supervisor's signature is needed.  The authorization is considered backdated if the document is being typed after the service has started. If the document is backdated, it requires the district supervisor's signature on the copy of the document submitted to central office.

Each office should put in place a system that best meets their needs for ensuring the appropriate documents are signed off on by the district supervisor.
