The MO-HITECH Advisory Board was appointed by Governor Jay Nixon to develop a strategic and operational plan, establish goals and institute a long-term plan for sustaining health information exchange in Missouri. The board is comprised of health care professionals, policymakers and consumer representatives from around the state. Monthly meetings of the Advisory Board are open to public observation.
Six MO-HITECH workgroups – Governance, Finance, Technical Infrastructure, Business and Technical Operations, Legal/Policy and Consumer Engagement – have been established to work on specific issue areas relating to health information exchange. Comprised of representatives from public, private and non-profit sectors, the workgroups will meet biweekly and the public is invited to participate.
