The Missouri State Medicaid program is preparing to phase out the mailing of copies of paper Remittance Advices. Providers will no longer receive both paper and electronic Remittance Advices. If you or your billing service currently receive an electronic RA (via the eMOMED Internet website or other method), paper copies of the RA will be discontinued effective July 20, 2004. You are encouraged to move to the Internet to receive your RAs.
Receiving your Remittance Advice via the Internet will prove very beneficial to your health care operations. With the new Internet RA, you can:
The new Internet RA will be viewable and printable in a ready to use format. Just point and click to print your RA or save it on your PC and print it at your convenience.
If you receive a paper copy of the RA only and not an electronic copy, you are encouraged to move to the Internet to receive your RAs. To sign up on-line for this new Remittance Advice option, please select the following link: Apply for Internet Access. Please note: Once you have signed up to receive RAs via the Internet, receipt of paper RAs by you or your billing service will be discontinued.
RAs can be accessed via Missouri Medicaid's eMOMED Internet website www.emomed.com.
Go to www.dss.mo.gov/dms. At this site you apply for Internet access from either the “Apply for Internet Access” link in the Quick Links section or you can select the “internet access” link under the Provider Information section. Either link will take you to the on-line Internet Application.

The only software providers will need in order to print is Adobe Acrobat Reader. Adobe is a freeware product and is available at the Adobe website: www.adobe.com
You may use any ISP to access RAs through eMOMED. If using AOL, be certain to start Internet Explorer, which will eliminate some timeout issues users may experience with using AOL.
