The EHR Incentives Section of the MO HealthNet Division website has been updated to provide Medicaid providers and other stakeholders with the latest information and resources for the Medicaid EHR incentive program in Missouri.

The CMS final rule for 2015 – 2017 Modifications and Stage 3 Meaningful Use was released in October 2015 and became effective in December 2015.  This new rule consolidates Meaningful Use measures and outlines reporting requirements for Program Years 2015 – 2017, creating a transition to Stage 3 which starts in Program Year 2018.

As a reminder, the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program is in effect until 2021.

Please check out the resources on this site.  If you have questions, call our State Level Registry Help Desk at 877-470-1307 or email us at [email protected].

Important Reminder – Critical Deadline for EHR Incentives Program

Program Year 2016 is the last year that professionals and hospitals can begin participating in the Medicaid EHR incentives program.

Missouri's grace periods for Program Year 2016 have been extended and the State Level Registry (SLR) is currently accepting Program Year 2016 applications from Eligible Professionals and Eligible Hospitals.

Professionals that have not previously participated, must submit an application by June 30, 2017 to be eligible for up to six payments through 2021. Professionals that joined a group during 2016 or early in 2017 may be eligible if their group uses its group volume to meet the Medicaid patient volume threshold.

Hospitals that have not previously participated, and those that have not yet received their full complement of three payments, must submit an application by July 31, 2017 to be eligible for up to three payments.

If you have questions about whether you qualify for the program or are eligible for additional payments, please contact the SLR help desk at 877-470-1307.
