The Department of Social Services will continue to provide access to medically necessary DME for all MO HealthNet participants. The Missouri General Assembly passed legislation on May 18, 2007 to include coverage for “prescribed medically necessary durable medical equipment.” At the Governor's request, the legislature also appropriated funding in HB 11 for fiscal year 2008 to pay for DME.
If you are an enrolled MO HealthNet provider with a DME claim for services rendered to an eligible MO HealthNet participant for dates of service beginning March 2, 2007, you may submit these claims for payment using the information you will find in the DME provider manual and DME provider bulletins.
