DSS to Host Informational Faith Based Forum

Lee’s Summit — The Department of Social Services will host an informational forum to discuss the Missouri Faith Based Initiative which underscores the need for the department to partner with community and faith based partners to address the needs of Missouri citizens. Representative Jeff Grisamore (R-Lee’s Summit) will be sharing information regarding the Faith Based Organization Liaison Act. In the House of Representatives, Grisamore handled Senate Bill 46, which created the initiative. Additionally, Scott Weinberg from the Federal Administration for Children and Families will be discussing funding opportunities for programs focused on assisting and bettering the lives of citizens.
