DSS Names Beverly Struemph March Employee of the Month

Jefferson City —The Department of Social Services (DSS) has named Beverly Struemph employee of the month for March 2008. Beverly is a Human Resources Manager for the Department in Jefferson City.

Beverly was nominated for the recognition of Employee of the Month because of her extraordinary ‘dedication and commitment to her job’. Most recently, Beverly led the department in preparing for and implementing the new PERforM system. This required her to take hundreds of phone calls and emails answering staff questions and hosting multiple statewide meetings over several months to ensure the transition to the PERforM system was seamless. The DSS is one of the largest state agencies with 8600 employees which required a tremendous amount of coordination and planning. Beverly did this while continuing to manage her other personnel duties and is quick to volunteer whenever someone needs help with their job tasks.

“Beverly’s leadership, hard work and continued dedication to assisting Social Services employees is a great example for all public servants to follow,” Human Resources Director Karen Meyer said. “She is a one of a kind employee and I am thankful for what she does for us each and every day.”

The commitment and dedication Beverly demonstrates each day as a human resources manager is the reason she is being honored as the March Employee of the Month.
